Peter London is a Trinidad born dancer, choreographer and professor of dance.
His dance education ranges from both locally, such as the Caribbean School of Dancing Limited, and internationally acclaimed institutions; the Julliard School and the Miami Dade College/ New World School of the Arts.
He has also danced in a range of companies including the Astor Johnson Repertory Dance Theater, The Jose Limon Dance Company and the Martha Graham Dance Company.
Currently he is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Peter London Global Dance Company (PLGDC), a professional multi-cultural contemporary dance company based in Miami, Florida.
Peter London’s collaboration with the Metamorphosis Dance Company includes the mounting of Martha Graham’s “Steps in the Street” on the company in 2008. “Steps” is an excerpt from one of Martha Graham’s antiwar pieces called “Chronicle”, a piece which encapsulates Graham’s view of the Spanish Civil War. London created a major international connection Metamorphosis for which we are immensely grateful.
In 2017 the PLGDC shared half of Metamorphosis’ season, “Two of a Kind”. In this unique show each company performed 5 pieces of choreography on Trinidad and Tobago’s Queen’s Hall Stage.
